To translate this emotion, I used indirect painting to build a physical sense of depth. I began with bright opaques to anchor the light, followed by dark glazes to define the rugged weight of the mountains, finishing with rich, warm brushstrokes that saturate the valley like a slow, golden pulse.
To me, that glow isn't just light—it's a sanctuary. It represents the moment you stop trying to conquer the landscape and instead surrender to its stillness. Through these layers of color and shadow, I wanted to explore the feeling of being small in a vast world, yet feeling completely at peace within the golden silence of the climb.
