The Story Behind The Art

I’ve had a sketchbook by my side for as long as I can remember. For me, art has never been just a hobby; it’s the way I process the world and keep a close eye on the beauty around me. While I’ve studied art both in college and more recently at the Milan Art Institute, I’ve found that my best work comes when I lean into a sense of pure joy and let my curiosity lead the way.

My process starts in a very raw place with charcoal. It’s my favorite way to communicate—it's simple, honest, and versatile. Once I have that foundation down, I start layering in energy with bold acrylics and finishing with the rich, "soulful" feel of oils. This mix of materials is how I bring a piece to life, whether I’m painting a wide-open landscape or a personal portrait.

I’m a big believer in "pure art"—creating things that aren't just meant to be looked at, but truly felt. By highlighting the beauty and texture of life, I aim to offer the viewer a moment of connection that inspires a lasting sense of optimism and hope.
